Next Wednesday, we'll have Tom Monroe of Division Wine Co. AND Eleonora Fenocchio of Giacomo Fenocchio in shop for a massive drop-in tasting. Each will be pouring a diverse range of wines from their respective estates.
After cutting his teeth at some of France's top domaines, Tom has been at the forefront of Oregon's modern movement, making classically inspired wines with youthful energy and a dash of irreverence. Eleonora, on the other hand, represents a centuries-old, family domaine in the heart of Barolo where tradition reigns. She's the newest generation at one of Piedmont's most historic and revered estates. Without a doubt, one of Barolo's top five estates.
A fascinating dichotomy, and sure to be a ton of fun, I personally think this is one of the coolest, most compelling tastings Monarch has ever hosted. I hope to see you all there!
