We're trading our 3-bottle highlight for some thrilling (!) spiels about two producers. One we know and love, while the other is calling Monarch home for the first time.

Get your daily dose of fruit with Karl Sjöström and Mikael Nypelius. 
These Swedish ex-somms acted upon their love for naturally-made, quality wines and are now crafting, not-wines! Fruktstereo makes fruit pet-nats from apples, pears, berries, and grapes grown in home gardens and abandoned orchards in Sweden. Okay, so they technically make wine, but in a very singular sense. They refer to each bottling as an "album" and we're offering you three of their hottest releases. Fruktstereo has been making tunes since 2016, but we’re hoping to dance to their bubbles for many years to come.

A fresh, high-acid pear pet-net that will make you sing HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME!
'Ciderday Night Fever' 2017, $15.99
A perfect cider to accompany you on the dance floor all evening. An apple a day keeps the doctor away! 
'Bellondie' 2017, $33.99
Meet Bellondie! Made from apples they call the "Grand Cru of Swedish garden fruit." Complex, structured, and creamy from its long lees-resting.

Christian Tschida is BACK! We are huge fans of this Burgenland producer who works with 10 hectares of old vines. As fourth generation care-taker, Christian has the magic touch so rarely seen in natural wine these days. He manages to raise wines that are juicy, fresh, and utterly chug-able, while never losing their sense of place. Chug-able terroir! Drinkable, yet thinkable juice with little to no sulfites added. You don't have to take our word for it: a famous somm-turned-wine-maker was recently overheard in the shop saying Christian 'is the BEST winemaker in Austria today.'

Himmel auf Erden Rosé 2017, $49.99
A rosé from Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt, part of his Himmel auf Erden ("Heaven on Earth") collection. Aged for one year in large barrels; no fining or filtration. A reminder that rosé is WINE and not just SUMMER PINK DRINK!
'Yummy Yummy' 2015, $99.99
Made from 40-year old Cabernet Franc vines. The grapes spend TWO years aging in large barrels, then bottled without any fining or filtration. Full-bodied, warm, and blackberry-filled goodness. Yummy indeed.
