Cruse Wine Co., Ricci Vineyard Pet-Nat, California, USA 2018 $34.99
Although made from an Austrian grape (the juicy, berry-flavored Saint-Laurent), nothing screams USA! like bubbles from the sunny state of California. Michael Cruse is THE leader in American sparkling wine; bubbles are his specialty! Despite its red skin, this tasty number is vinified white and bottled without additions of any kind. Pure, crystalline and simply delicious with notes of tart red berries cut with crisp lemon acidity. Pairing suggestion: fried fish sandwiches and a warm porch!
Vignoble du Rêveur 'Pierres Sauvages' Alsace, FR 2017 $23.99
Summer screams for high-acid whites, and this one is made in the sunniest (yet cold!) place in France. From Mathieu Deiss, son of Marcel Deiss, one of the most renowned vignerons in Alsace. The winery's name translates to "Vineyard of Dreams," and his careful biodynamic farming methods are his way of paying homage to his father's philosophy and idealistic dreams. He makes 3 wines, each with distinct personalities. 'Pierres Sauvages' is a gentle, satisfying wine made from Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir – mouth-filling without feeling heavy with a bright, thirst-quenching finish. Its concentrated notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle and citrus make it a perfect food wine for summer salads...like this lemon pepper chicken.
Tami Bianco, Sicily, IT 2017 $23.99
Arianna Occipinti is making some of the purest and groundbreaking wines in all of Italy. Despite her humble nature, these bottles aren't always accessible. So she and some friends got together to create something local and organic within everyday reach: enter Tami! A project working with indigenous Sicilian varietals including Grillo, featured in this ultra-fresh bottling. The grapes spend a short 2-days on their skins, lending a little structure to this bright and floral white. Hints of peach and salty Mediterranean air means seafood is the right call. These grilled scallop skewers are mouthwateringly delicious and perfect for the 4th!

Montemelino Rosato, Umbria, IT 2018 $22.99

Montemelino's wines (and the story behind them) are good for the soul. Margret Etten Cantarelli founded the small estate in 1961, driven by a passion to create a fully-functioning, independent farm in a little pocket of Umbria. She worked the land and made wines for over 50 years with her husband by her side, just recently passing the torch to her daughter Sabina. Montemelino's alluvial soils are mixed with clay and limestone surrounding Lake Trasimeno, leading to bright and direct wines offering a unique sense of place. Their Rosato is a blend of Ciliegiolo (meaning "little cherry") and Grenache. It tastes of tart red berries, lemon and a dash of pepper. Try these spiced chicken wings!

Jean Foillard, Beaujolais-Villages, Beaujolais, FR 2017 $26.99
 Foillard is a member of the quartet of Beaujolais growers mentored by the great Jules Chauvet, father of the French natural wine movement. His wines are powerfully flavorful, yet maintain a graceful elegance and pure-fruited character. While you may find Foillard bottles stacked high in the wine caves of Paris, there is rarely enough to go around in the US of A. Luckily, his Beaujolais-Villages arrived right in time to celebrate our nation's independence – the perfect snapshot of Foillard's varying terroirs wrapped up into one bottle. It's seductively smooth with notes of rose petals and cherries, while its granitic crunch reminds us why we adore Beaujolais so much. Simply DELICIOUS burgers, are our call here!
Les Vins Pirouettes ‘Le Pinot Noir d'Hubert et Christian’ Alsace, FR 2016 $34.99
Les Vins Pirouettes is a project launched by Christian Binner, sparked by his desire to help organic and biodynamic growers in Alsace move away from selling their grapes to cooperatives, and start making wines naturally. Each cuvée is made at a young winery, where they supply the grapes and Christian supplies his 20 years of expertise in making low-intervention wines. This cuvée is made from Pinot Noir planted on gneiss soils with absolutely nothing added (even SO2). It's filled with juicy cherries, pine and orange zest, all lifted by a racy edge.
