2020 Canopus 'Pintom' Rosado
Strawberries, spice and everything nice!
When I'm buying wine for myself, I must admit that rosé is not first on my list but this bottle has been the exception; one I have actually found myself craving. Not your typical pink wine, this is something unique, fresh and oh so FUN!

From the moment I opened the bottle, I knew this was special. An Argentine rosé perfect for warm sunny days. Packing a ton of personality into a crisp, refreshing frame, this has surely surely stood out amongst the ocean of bland, pale rosés currently flooding the market. A selection for those of you that like to step outside the box and discover something new!

Gabriel Dvoskin, the winemaker behind Canopus Wines, has been making waves in the emerging natural wine scene of Mendoza, Argentina since 2014. With his focus primarily on Pinot Noir, he stands out from the usual Malbec-dominated pack here.

Tending a mere 10ha of vines in El Cepillo, in the Valle de Uco, with the snow-capped Andes as the backdrop.
An up-and-coming winemaker who is flipping everything we thought we knew about the wines of Argentina completely upside down. This week, I challenge you to explore a side of Argentina that you have never known before.
100% Pinot Noir, certified organic and grown using biodynamic practices. Hand-harvested, then fermented using native yeasts in three separate vats which are in turn blended to create an exquisite balance and texture.

Strawberry, raspberry and blood orange burst from the glass with underlying savory notes and flinty minerality. The palate is quite layered for a rosé: ripe berries and citrus rind, balanced out by crisp acidity and a distinct savory, salty mineral finish.
